I walked by the Atelier booth a couple of times, trying to see if I could recognize you from that post that Francis had. But no luck. Should have taken a picture of it though. I spent about 3hours in the Comic on Sat and Sunday. On Sat I spent most of the time just looking around at all the cool stuff things they had out since I started late. Then on Sunday I spent most of the time trying to get an autograph from Kevin Smith for my cousin. That place was so damn packed.
Did you take anything home with you from the con Fred?

As for the girl in the black tank top. I have no clue who she is. More than likely she is one of the models for Heavy Metal.

Ooooouuuuccchhhh. I bet your wallet is in pain. Being broke at the moment I was only able to afford to spend $20 on Kevin Smith pictures and book. I wanted to get a Conan Model but it was much for me. So I had to settle for a picture.

hey just saw my favorite comic artist
on your photos it's David Mack ( he is a genius for me)
don't know if you guys know him
because in Germany his comic
isn't very popular(he draws Kabuki)

...hmm don't think the girl is there because of her drawing skills...

Thanx for the complements on the pics.
Mantis- I drooled over that sculpture to. I took about 4 pics of it before I got a clear shot people kept on walking by.
Darkmoon- It is a good thing you didn't go or you would have shared the same fate as Fred.
I wasn't going to post this since it didn't come out that well. Some people seem so intrested in the girl in the black tank top so here it is. While I was adjusting my camera I notice her staring at it so I shot it off before I had a chance to adjust. I should have taken my time and maybe then I would have had a cleaner shot. There were to many people around so I took the shot when I had the chance. Here it is. Enjoy

ex- I don't know who actually drew that waterfall piece. The booth was labeled "Noah Fine Art". I overheard someone saying that the piece was over $4,000. Its a wall with grooves all along the wall that has water running down the piece giving it rainy effect.
Here are a couple more shots of the booth where that was at. Thats all the information I can provide you sorry. You may want to ask Fred, Francis, or Wacomonkey and see if they know who did it cause they we're at the con to.

It could be the lighting, but it looks like one of the right abs is missing. I know abdomenal muscles can vary in size, but that is rediculous. And Mantis I dont think this is a Frank Miller peice. It is a sculpture of a Frank Frazetta image...

Fred- I went back and looked at my other shots of it and its still a freaky 5-Pac. Do proffesional do that intentionally? If they do is, why would anyone want to do deform their art in such an obvious way? Sorry for such a useless questions Fred its just been bugging me. Fred I think Mantis was talking about the Marv the guy in the electric chair.

didnt see the marv statue. I hope that the pro did not intentionally do this. Lots of the time, deadlines are so strict that things can easily be overlooked, and then forgotten. This one looks like he forgot to add that cut line in. It is really obvious and makes the peice look funny...

I just finished looking at Frazetta's siteTanaka's link. What a sweet deal to get a $250 every time you signed your name on something that someone else bought from your line of products. I guess you can give Conan a freaky 5PAC if people are paying you $250 for a single signature.
Does Craig Mullins get deals like that? Sign something-get $250 for moving your wrist muscles. I've seen some post on this
that I just want to get clear. Is Spooge Demon=Craig Mullins? I know I know I sound like a major newbie with that question.

Jesus Christ. For the last time, Spooge is NOT Craig Mullins. He's his evil twin brother...ya know like on the soaps.

and i wonder what the girl must feel like at the end of the day after about 500 people have photographed her- some "on accident", some not so.

Quit talking about my girlfriend like that

So much talent! If I had gone I'd be sulking in the corner hehe

This is as good a post as any to inform people that I've added new pencil drawings and more to my website.

Time to get back to the sketch pads and practicing!

Yup, that's me sketching at the Presto Booth. The other guy in the back is Keith Boesky, Presto's former council and former president of Eidos Interactive America. Also a huge comics/game/movie fan and one of the few lawyers I can honestly say is a cool guy. Knows just about everybody in the industry. The Con was fun but tiring!!!
