Firstly I'd like to preface this post by saying that I DID NOT DRAW this, I merely colorized a wonderful sketch by a fantastic comic artist/animation director, Sam Liu.

I think is very "ok", but nothing extra special.

To me, the colourized version is perfect. Not my style of art preference but WOW is all I can say. You gave it life.

Whow scoobydoo, great one.
Very impressive texturing and rendering.

duhroach: looks like a skin for the face of a 3d-model. Was it planned to be used as map or did it just come out like that?

Hey cool colouring Scooby, you did a good job. First I seen of Sam Lui too, he has great stuff, reminds me alot of Jim Lee..

I downloaded a couple of his peices with the intent of someday coloring them... that preditor drawing being the main one of choice.

His work is really nice.

hey scooby! wow very cool. francis turned me on to this thread. hey i put up the pic on my site if thats okay.

cos: my stuff looks like jim lee? really? maybe i'm too close to my work. dont get me wrong i use to LOVE jim's stuff back in the day.

well hopefully when i get a new computer and finally sit down and learn photoshop i'll post some stuff up for you guys to shread

Hey Sam, Your stuff is really cool man, you have a great style. Yeah I see a resemblance to Jim Lee. (I was a huge fan too) Although dont get me wrong, not like a Jim Lee copycat. You can just see the influence in your work, and Jamie Hewlett too .. ahh maybe its just me =)

But anyway, I really enjoyed your site man. You should definetely get yourself a copy of photoshop!

hey thanks cos,

yeah i guess my jim lee roots still show. jaime hewlett from tank girl? or is that someone else? if it's the same jaime, what's he doing now. i use to dig his stuff too! i still got a lot of learning and practicing to do and my current job doesnt allow me to focus on the drawing anymore so i am kind of rusty and have lost my way.
