nice pic
I think you should try and concentrate on structure, and not so much the details.
also for your next portraits (seems like thats what interests you) try and use a references that have more varied angle. Profile, 3/4, etc.

I agree with chumps. You should watch out for anatomy first of all. Study how muscles on faces are placed and act in relation to each other, and learn everything about the bones you've got in your face!
Ron Lemen (Fred Flick Stones) posted a real interesting tutorial on head drawing on this forum. I think you should check it out.

That's a nice picture, though personally,
I think it would look nicer if some hair fell over her face, just strings of hair nothing much.
Also...is it me or do the eyelids seem unlevel.....sure it could happen, but isnt really asthetically ( i think thats how its spelled) pleasing. |

Without reading any other replies to this, I immediately think as a suggestion, "Change the hair". It looks like a normal person who got a hair cut from a lawn mower or something. But other than that, it looks great! Keep up the great work! |

Hi there proximo.
I like the pic
It has a really nice tone to it.
My one piece of advice is this. Some shadow on the left hand side of the face (where I am guessing that the hair would be creating a shadow on the side of the face) would really give it depth.
