Hi people, Im back . I have a new drawing i have done in 4 or 5 hours, and i think i need a lot of help from here .
I love freds tutorials, but i have a great problem, thats the idiom. Im spanish, and here everybody post in english, thats right, i can talk english and write english, but in the tutorials there are a lot of words that i dont understand, because they are more technical. Yes, i have a dictionary, but is too hard to try to learn something when you dont understand some important words. Im refering particulary on anatomy, words like "chest", "neck", "lips", are easy, but some others are more difficult, and some of them are so damn "extrange" that the dictionary doesnt have them. Well, i supose thats my problem, but id be granted if when you post a message with those difficult words, try to make them easier, thats the principal problem because i dont post so much. .
Well, by the way, i have done a new pic. I have adquired an anatomy book, but, hehe, here is once again the problem, its in english, and lots of explanations are very confusing to me. The pic is done without knowing anything of anatomy, and its so much difficult to draw human body without knowing that.
Maybe you know a forum like this but in spanish, or you can give me the title of a good book in spanish. Any comments are wellcome.
Here is the image :
Thanks people.

All the parts of the human body are named with two different various, one is clinical and one is "anatomical" the anatomical naming is basically Latin based, and the clinical words are Greek based(if I remember correctly) So the names should be the same in almost any language. You're probably not going to run into words like left hypochondriac region or thoracic, you'll probably just see stuff like underarm, or chest.
Some people use abbreviations like pecs or abbs, these are short of pectorals and abdominal. If you're not sure what someone is talking about, just ask, I'm sure someone will explain what area they are talking about.
You probably will not find some of the more formal words for anatomy in a dictionary, you'll need to buy a medical dictionary. they are just as thick, if not thicker than an ordinary dictionary.
As long as you know words like, head, chest, face, arm, leg, foot, finger, toe, hair, eye, knee and elbow, you should be fine to start off with.
good luck

Wow... that image is so cool.
Where did you get the idea for that? Or was it just one of those things? Cause that is one of the best images i have seen on the forum. Maybe cause it's the genere I like. I don't mean quality wise, but that doesent really matter.. it's just sweet. :P |
