I think it looks neat. Don't you think the katana needs a handguard though?
I didn't know wood-elves had such weird muscle structure. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

i love the nice clean look you have... the colouring style fits it nicely, too. I think the bg could be improved though, and i think the grass should be a little lower so as to show off the weapon more. Show off a handguard, and have only the blade entering the grass. |

To be honest, i liked the sketch better.
The pose with the hands is great, don't cover it with the grass.
And his arm is all wrinkled and shit... looks a bit weird.
Anyways, great pose and great picture

Hey! Thats really cool! Everything is
very well defined but i think you can tone it down on the arms and let the darker shadow do the job instead of the black outline. Also you could remove the black outline to in some areas(since you've got an shadow colour)just tone the shadow colour down instead.
I like it.

the grass disrupts the overall image, it looks a tad too unfinished and hurried. shade the grass as you shaded the elf..?

Is this an illustration or a character study? You see it doesn't seem to be either. It doesn't tell a story like an illustration and it doesn't show enough of the guy to be a char. study.
I don't want you to think I don't like it so far but I don't think your finished.
If I were you I would get rid of the grass and just make this a char. study.
I would like to see this guy doing something in an enviroment or something.
nice style of drawing...different but real cool |

No it always falls into a catagory. Right now the catagory is more on the "Fine Art" side.
Thats cool if that is what is happening in the piece when you said he is going to fight someone. That just wasn't apparent to me until you told me.
Again though I did say your style was cool on the guy and I meant it!! But I think you should have taken that style into the rest of the piece. You see what I mean?
Great work on the character though. Can't wait to see more of your work.
bye |

I like it. I'm thinking he could use a different hairstyle though. Maybe something big and spiky. Or a mohawk... Yeah... |

I love this image, looks very clean and sharp.
I think it looks like he's getting ready for a battle, you know? A one on one fight to the death.
