I tried this way of draw the basic ideas for a figure. What is was, was a stick figure type thing, then used shapes to give it definition. I'm wonder what methods other people use at the beginning of a figure.

That's the same thing I start with as a sketch for my clay models... it gives me the way I should bend the wires and then def for the clay...

I use the same method to for when I draw.

I start pretty much the same way, my way is a bit personalized though! But I'm sure we all personalize our process. Btw what the hell did you use to get that pic online?
