Hi,
I got a Wacom Graphis USB tablet and have some serious problems with it. At first everything seemed fine, with the first installation i hadn't any troubles. but since the first reboot after installation the pc doesnt recognize the tablet anymore.
I have a asus p2b-f with win98-se installed.
Can anyone help?

Don't know if I can help, but...
If you had a wacom driver or driver any other tablet drivers installed earlier, it might be some sort of conflict. At least I had to remove everything, even in the registry in order to install it. And, try to use the newest driver from wacom's website, and not the one you get with the tablet.
Don't know if you've tried this ??

If you installed the drivers that come with the tablet, don't ask why. They usually bundle the crappiest version of the driver software on that CD. Get the latest version of the universal driver off the Wacom site. That should fix your problems. DON'T FORGET to UNINSTALL the current version of the driver first.
(I had the same problem when I got my first tablet. I also remember playing around with my com port configs for about week, but I think the new driver is the answer...)
If it is the newest driver, well, dang, I don't know.

Hey Thanks,
the tip with the registry helped me out. I have now the driver version 4.51 installed and everything's working fine.

I have this same problem, but I have the newest drivers. I don't know what do do with the registry, can anyone possibly give me a hand? Joachim?

| how's the graphire? I saw it in the store a few days back, and my dad just gave me 70 bucks (10 for allowance, 60 for mowing someone's lawn, a whole month's worth), and this month, ill be getting 80 more bucks to mow the lawn again, so ill easily get over 149.99, and I actually might buy it!!! Good or bad?!? |
