she have super powers? like super man? super strength? cause damn man, her arms are like the size of my wrist, and my wrist in TINY! that gun would break the pour girl! anyways, i think you should beef up the arms to match the rest of her rather endowed self the concept is cool tho, love the pigtails... maybe ill do that to my hair....

Hi,
Yeah, thanks for pointing that out about the arms Darkmoon, they do look a little thin now that I look at 'em. I think it might have to be down the gym for her and hitting the dumbell curls and steriods, heh, heh.
Glad you like the haircut, I think I might have to try it too....
Are you gonna post a photo of your new hairstyle. ;P
Thank you very much Kat. ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |

I like your colors, cool look with those browns and reds.
Her right biceps looks quite flat, maybe it could be a bit bigger too.. and arn't the legs a bit long?
Else it really looks stylish.

Cool stuff Kyri! I also love the browns & reds and texture... and I like the proportions, too. I've never seen anyone with limbs and a build like that... but that's what makes it even more interesting for me! It helps define this style, in my opinion
Even her right bendy elbow
Keep up the great work Kyri!
And Kat - I'll visit y'alls' forum right now!!!

Hi,
Cheers Nex, yeah I agree about the arm and the legs look a lot like a giraffs, now when I look at 'em, heh, heh... Shadow I made the pic entirely using photoshop, I don't have a clus about painter. Kurisu, thanks man, you probably aint seen anyone with limbs and a build like that before cause I screwed up the proportions and got 'em totally off, heh, I need to work on that amongst other things. Cheers Hoodz, the rusty look, well...just kinda turned out that way with the texture.....
I thought I would show how the image developed and try explain how I made it, in my own akward fashion, lol.....
I just started by laying a flat base colour and started sketching out the figure very scrapy with the paintbrush set at mid opacity, using a few different fleshy type colours. As you build up tones you are then able to pic different shades and paint in the detail. Thats pretty much what I did, same with the costume and gun, to begin with.
Also try changing the paintbrush settings, dodge, and screen are good for lighting...
K, I'm probably just going thru stuff you all already know....
I was originally gonna have the character going through a marshy swamp, but scraped that idea in order to concentrate more fully on the character.
The textures which are from my traditional artwork paintbrush strokes, which I've scanned and mucked around with. They came into play, around stage 5. If you play around with the options, you should find that you get some nice results.I also used the cloning tool set at around mid to shade with, which I'm sure prob sounds unusual,
but it kinda works for me, like a clone shader type of funky tool. Heh, heh.....and again if you try the diff options you can get some very funky effects. The mask was made in the same way at a later stage.
The hair I wasn't happy with and she went through quite a few diff styles along the way. K, enough of my enane ramblings.
I now this is a quite unuasual way of working but I hope it can come to some use to someone.

Hey Kyri, I like how you have added another shot of her head without the helmet. Maybe add another couple shots of her in motion in the battle field. Give her some real personality and make us fear her
Your site is loaded with great stuff. I look forward to your coming posts.

Hi
Thanks a lot for the suggestion about the action shots guys thats a great idea.
I gotta try get her sorted out a bit first tho, I think she still needs work.
I did another character sketch and thought I'd stick it up here, any feedback on it would be great, critisisms and suggestions. Thanks a lot.

Kyri, this guy is looking great. You have added some real ambiance to the image.
Maybe in the background you could have some kind of scenic view of mountains or a lake. Kind of what Jason did for IceWindDale portraits.
Check them out at these links: http://rpgvault.ign.com/features/media/icewind.shtml and here http://rpgvault.ign.com/features/media/e3icewind.shtml
Or, some kind of battlefield, as he stands proud and victorious after a hard won battle.
Anyways, I hope you do finish up the painting, I look forward to seeing it

Kyri, The warrior is fantastic!...extremely strong,
to me he looks like a guardian.... of what I'm not sure... but something extremely important...and no one would dare take the chance to pass....
I can't wait to see what you will do with him!
