I think a burning city would offset the nice subtle colour palette you have going. Plus it would probably be too much, overkill.

Is your team leader an artist? Hmm, well, perhaps if you replaced the trees by a burning city horizon.. but, I like it as it is.. good job. =))

Very nice, Binke. That was a little bit inspired by Final Fantasy, wasn't it? I can see Cloud standing in the middle

It's got a good mood and I like the toned down coloration. That's how it would be at night.

The paintstrokes in the sky look a little bit like a horizon line and the moon seems to be in front of it - a little bit confusing.
The rock they're standing on looks quite smooth, like clay. You might want to take a hard brush in the paint tool and go over it.
A hard outline for it and the trees would maybe improve it too ...

But all in all a very cool image ... IMHO you've improved t o n s over the last couple of months. Way to go!

I see a little bit of Final Fantasy X stuff and a little bit of Final Fantasy VII stuff in this picture. (Cloud and that Wizard guy I keep seeing) The guy in the far back reminds me of those pig guards in Starwars.

I like the piece as it is though. Very striking with a good sense of the mood.

thats very cool! Great mood there-- forget the burning cities..

Maybe your team leader played too much bard's tale 3 in his childhood (insiders will know what I mean )

Woo thank joo, for the comments
eclipse: yap exactly what I think
and ya, of course the signature will go off.
Frost: thanks and eheh, artist hm not really, I didnt mean 2D-lead, but I meant uh the big boss eheh.
Loki: Thanks, very encouraging And yap, it looks like a pile of dirt, it was meant to be some rock, but I guess I blended the colors too much, and used too much round edges.

Eheh, Final Fantasy eyh, yeah maybe maybe

Dean Welsh, Nex: *bad Elvis impression* Ahh yes thank ya, th-thank ya very much

That's damn cool! The burning-city will screw it up without a doubt! Like all, I keep seeing FF! But damn cool!

hey if you have to add a burning city, dont make it where it looks as if the characters are standing in front of it....if it IS a splash screen, do what the pros do. draw a burning city, then kind of blend it (fade, dodge, whatever looks good) into the background. make the city look more of an addition to the image, where viewers will know they'll be seeing that in the game. give it a "collage" feel to it. i dont know if you get what im saying but...

for example....the mission impossible 2 movie poster...it has flaming images of different scenes in the movie to kind of tell you what to expect, the artist didnt design it to make it seem like they were all happening in sync.

if you get what i mean take my advice..otherwise, whatever.

nice binke...like the feeling behind the pic...but it should be something in the background, it looks a bit empty...

I like a lot, except the font for "Fantasy Gladiators" does not go well with the pic itself. Perhaps you should add a subtle glow to the text.

Hey thanks everyone for the for the comments!

psi burn: that is a interesting idea indeed, might try it out.. hmm..*tinkers*

eetu: Hand drawn text, I thought of that and yeah the font is dull, but it's the font iv used on the login screen, and main menu screen also so hm..

Also I talked to the guy again, and I convinced him that we dont need no stinking background. Nyyahh, victory! gidi'yap Silver!
