I think it would be better if more of the guys face was visible, atleast to the point where you could see his whole eye instead of half an eye(Unless you wanted it to look like that for a reason.)

Other than that it's good for a first try pic. Keep up the work

The background kinda detracts from the peice (as it is just a filter). Maybe draw in a brick wall, or an alley, or some other city object/landscape behind him?

I'm not really good at drawing that kind of stuff, but I'll give it a try. Maybe a map of Europe with a Nazi sign on Germany wouldn't be bad for the background.(This guy if from WWII.)

btw, I did this by scanning a sketch in and then coloring it with a mouse. So I don't know how the background will turn out if I draw it freehand with my mouse.
