Made a new pic today... I really didn't like the way is was coming out so I just wrapped it up in about 3 hours. I thought I'd post it anyway to see what you guys think.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Dunno if you've been told this before, Tinusch, but you have improved by leaps and bounds since this board first started up.

I really dig your highlighting shading style in general, btw.

Tinush it looks real cool, very atmospheric.
I like how you have detailed the scarecrow and the glow from the moon is very nice. If anything I would add some detail and tint up
the tree, it looks a little flat.
Great work!

Lemur-X Thanks! I kind of thought my style has been exactly the same all along... I really haven't noticed any improvement. It's awesome to find out I'm getting better. Thanks man!

Kyri Even though you spelled my name wrong, I'm going to reply. I'm glad you like the atmosphere. You dudes like that dark, eerie mood, I know. I thought I may have overdone the glow a bit, I got carried away, but I'm relieved to know that others think it looks good as is. And yeah, it definitely could use some more detailing, especially the tree, but I got sick of the pic and dissatisfied with how it was looking. Thanks for the reassurance!

Nex Man oh man, that was a really bad joke. Good to see others can pick up on that dark gloomy atmosphere, I tried hard to get it that way. Thanks!

HoodZ Wow, that's a huge compliment... I never thought I had a very unique style. Thanks a whole lot, dude.

Klaivu Again, that's a really flattering comment. I'm really glad to see that others think I have a unique style. I agree, the pic does need a lot more detailing. I just got sick of it. Thanks a lot, Klaivu!

Tinusch - lol to your replies

I like this picture, too. Nice lonely, scary, cold, windy image...

My farty ideas about what could be done to save the whales - I mean - modify the pic (but why do that 'cause you're done anyway, right?!)

- I like the wheat husks/stems/whatever they are called. But, if it's the same material around the base of the wooden post (under Mr. Crow's shirt), it lacks the nice detail you put into the rest of the straw (there we go! That's the word!)

- The idea of the fog with the straw/stems/whatever they are called is great! If you spent more time, for example, adding layers of the fog, so some of the stems were visible here and there through the fog, that would be grooviliscious.

- The tree's silhoette is nice - and the fact that you blurred it is keen man. Only thing for me would be, again, to spend more time and put the detail into the branches - even some really thin ones (still blurred) - and sharp tips...

So, most all of these, if not all, are time-based comments - as I agree that your stuff has kicked some major booty more and more - so you *can* do whatever you want. The question is: Does any of this fit with what you want?! lol

-kurisu

PS: Getting sick of a picture is a plague for us for sure!!!! Run! Ahhhhh!!!

Cos Thanks man! I knew you and your brother would like the atmosphere...

Kurisu Thanks a lot for the detailed critique. Very informative and helpful. I might go in and detail that tree, but I don't know. I've kind of lost interest in this pic. Thanks for the suggestions, though, I still might work on the pic some more... Oh, and the yellow stuff below his waist, is that the stuff you were referring to? If so, that isn't the same... uh... straw/husks/stems/weeds as in the background. It's supposed to be dull yellowish cloth. Oh well.

Show my old pics? Ugh, no way, I can't show those... They're horrible. Of course, almost all of the old ones are on Gameart...

Very nice atmosphere, and mood Tinusch, now you need to put in a tinman and a lion and you got yourself a motion picture (i think), DON'T FORGET THE FLYING MONKIES, they're the most important part....

now where was I, oh yea your pic very nice job, keep it up! If I were to work on anything it would be the clouds and the moon, they just look like they were thrown together.

Above Haha, thanks man. If the clouds and moon look a bit thrown together, it's because they were. I got sick of the pic and just wanted to wrap it up as quickly as possible.

Spitfire Heh, thanks for looking at it. Actually, I've been told by several people that it didn't look nearly evil enough.
