Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon
Just saw this film, and I must say it is swe-e-e-e-e-e-t!
Thought that the story was pretty original, and that the whole thing looked, sounded, and just felt fantastic.
One thing I did think was a bit overdone was the whole use of wires. I know it was a fantasy, and the whole idea that some of the characters could actually "fly" was hinted at a couple of times, but I thought, considering the rest of the production values, it could have been done a little more realistically.
Anyway, has anyone seen it? Care to comment?
And was it just me, or was the whole "spinning metal disc-weapon in head" death actually really funny??
PS - I heard a lot of people comparing this film to The Ma***x when we were all coming out of the cinema... oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Quick! Someone get some copies of Once Upon A Time In China to these people, STAT!
