I posted a version of this a while back that was about 50% done. I'd say that this is about 95% done - still needs work, but I've been looking at it for so long that I think it may be time to get more feedback from virgin (or at least near virgin) eyes.

Thanks for your time.

Really amazing! I love the atmosphere and the feeling of the pic. Don't have any critique, sorry.

i think its excellent man!
totally dig the pic
but...opposed to what these guys have to say, i don't think an 'unfinished piece'
is necessarily the best form of art.
it doesn't become more unique if its not done.
Finish the piece! I'd like to see it with more details.

throw in some bad ass stuff...
a little more lighting on certain areas.
spice it up!

it will be TOTALLY badass then
not just badass

is that scanned in or is it a digital piece...and if it is what did you do it in?

It looks super good! Makes me want to jump in there and start exploring!

Francis,

As usual, superb and professional!
Wonderful work on the structures,
concepts and composition! I love
the way you did the lighting and
set the hi-tech mood. The movement
of the people is clear and there are
lots of interesting conversations
going on....hhhmmmmmm!

I would offer you this, however, and
mean no offense (I can't believe I have
the audicity to critique you, but here
goes!)

Someone mentioned on your earlier post
that the girl in the foreground shoulders
were quite large. She is obviously buff,
(pant pant) but I think her right shoulder jutts out a little far. It may be the way her arm is placed, perhaps it should be
brought in closer to her side?
Just a thought.

I would offer that you finish it off. It looks cool now, but personally I would like
to see "Zone 28" and other details a little
more defined. The Zone 28 may not pop out
"like new" (hundreds of feet tromping on
it, etc) but it just seems a little "etchy"
now....this may all be in your plans. I don't
want to provide excess, unqualified,
pompous pontification...however, but
ummmm, I guess I am

One more thing (I should probably get
smacked at this point but I am feelin'
froggy): the steps from the bottom
visible level up to the Zone 28 level
appear to be hovering! Are they free
hanging? This, again may be intentional
on your part, but I found it odd! Well,
there you go, for what it was worth
(worth about what you paid for it, and
that ain't even two cents)

Awesome, awesome work and I would love to
see more. Thank you!

c

I love it. Craig is right about the shoulder, but I (and it seems like nobody except Craig) noticed it until it was pointed out. It isn't a really big flaw, so it's not absolutly nessecary to change it.

Those small yellow lights by the Zone 28 do attract some extra attention, you might want to change them a little.

Francis, it isn't that the shoulders are too big, the neck is too thin. YOu have the sterno muscle popping too hard, but no neck mass beyond the sterno muscle.. NNeds a bit more volume, and I think that with that the body shouldn.t look that far off...

This pic is so cool. Personally, I'd move on at this point, but I don't know how neurotic you are. Impressive as usual.

It looks absolutely amazing
The only thing i can see was the same thing that Fred pointed out...The neck. Also i think the head is a bit small, but othervise from that it looks awesome. I would love to try and do a drawing like this.
Good work!

Still looks great to me, the background is amazing. I did say bout the shoulders being big before, thay are big but thats just the look of the character i guess. I agree on the neck lookin too thin tho, I think it could widen to the left alot more. maybe you could soften the shading where it connscts to the traps too? kinda looks like its sticks out too solidly.. but again great work Mr.Tsai

Thanks for all the comments and crits. The figure does appear to be a little tweaked, which goes to show that I still need a lotta practice.

I will work on this a little more, but I will spare you all a third posting of this image. I'll probably just post it on my site when it's done.

Thanks again.
