As far as Ive heard from other people that is attempted to do this no there isn't the people I knew had to switchback to win98 and with 3.1 3dsmax works as well as it would work on NT ... |

The problem of installing 3D MAX on Windows 2000 is cleared,
The solution is not using a Hebrew path directory.
Its now working perfectly on Windows 2000.
Thank you for your suggestions.

Hmm, thats really odd, Max should work perfectly with 2000, because 2000 is just NT with more zeros.
Back in the day (man I sound old) I ran a small network of about 20 or so NT 4 workstations that were used for Max and AutoCad.
Max is actually intended to be run under NT/2k and should therefore have no trouble. It has a hell of a lot more trouble with 98 than it does with NT.
ben seems to know what he's talking about, so he could very well be right. I have limited experince with 2k (so far), but I know my stuff in NT |

Haha, excuse my ignorance benbaur, but what exactly is a Hebrew path directory? A new religion of some sort?

Why not give technical support a call? That's what they're for.

Are you crazy?
Why are you installing Win2k? IT REALLY SUX!!!
System Speed slows down rapidly and most of the Memory is iused for that fucking OS instead of the app u use (Photoshop/3DSMAX).
GO and install Win98b it don't need many memory such as win2k (I repeat IT SUXXX) do.
I installed Win2k one time and I tell u: My Hard Disk will never see a part of this Motherfucking Product again. So go and delete it.
BTW: Win2k will crash on every boot if u install apps that are made especially for WIN98 or WIN-NT. |

Noc: I've been running w2k for a while now, and, thought it may be an insignificant bit slower, it more than makes up for how many times I had to reinstall 98 or crash under it. I haven't crashed since. Period. |
