i'll keep it simple
Have you notice this forum is getting a bit old? by old i mean boring ?
i don't know maybe it's just me but everyday i check this forum for something new and exciting to inspired me...but all i keep seeing is new threads of old topics, new members with no talent. I mean hey welcome to the forum & in a way i'm the same...but why am i bringing this up well if you know you suck damn why post up stupid pictures? or stupid comments that has nothing to do with art and yes! i am piss i know it's not my place to bring this up but i've been a lurker since day one ever since this forum started and frankly i'm pissed off that this is going nowhere. the only people that are keeping this site alive are those trying to help us newbies (i think you know who you are)

BUT DUDES and girls LETS KEEP IT TOGETHER, i mean i want this site to go beyond what it already is, and Respect other artists we all have different talents.

Have you notice most of all the old members have disappear? well why do you think they don't post any more? cause this site bites don't get me wrong i love this site and the help....but i just thing something is missing (leadership) wheres Dhabih when you need him?

that's my 3 cents ....sorry if this causes a flame war but the little guys had to peak up!

(by the way forgive the spelling or anything that doesn't make sense)

Sizko, what the hell do you expect? This is a forum for people of all skills and styles that, the majority of which fall under the digital art category. No where does it even mention skill.

People post pictures because they want praise, advice, or just want to share their creative (or sometimes uncreative) vision. Even the most primative artist here has something to contribute by giving us their unique perspective on things. That perspective can influence even the most talented artists. Besides, who are you to define what is good and what is not?

You want it to go to a new level, then suggest how. By forcing the top five artists on here to pump out art nonstop, and limiting everyone elses access? I mean, this is about the best set up you can get now. It's up to the uesrs to post worthwhile stuff. I'm not necessarly sure what you posted is helping it, either.

And why are you telling us to respect other artists on different levels if you yourself bash them?

Even though you chose to deficate on most of the new members, including myself, I'll look past that to get to the heart of your concern.

No board that has many new members joining or leaving ever stays the same. I've been to more newsgroups and web boards then I care to shake a stick at to know that this is a universal truth. I've left many decent boards behind (not art boards but it still applies) and I left for one reason or another, but ussually it boiled down to what you just said...I just lost interest because I found nothing interesting (duh!).

That isn't anyone's fault, it just happens, and it isn't fair to blame those members who are honestly trying to improve themselves. So what if every post isn't made by an expert artist? I never saw a sign saying 'if you aren't a career art professional then don't post' and to do so would really hurt this place. Some people might become a professional but they just aren't 'there' quite yet. This kind of feedback is crucial for those who are still looking to grow (which should be everyone).

I do agree with you on a couple of points. It would be nice if there was another board here just for raw newbies to digital art. Some place they aren't disturbing the normal flow and can get more fundemental advice aside from 'U suck d3wd, give Up now!'. No one here should be subject to that form of critizism. Perhaps even having several boards just dedicated to subjects such as color theory, life drawing, landscape, etc. might not be a BAD idea. I'd use these sub boards if they were available, because there are many subjects that I need to improve on vastly if I am ever to really consider myself a professional (meaning that I get paid for the stuff that I do). And yes, each one of the sub boards should have an active moderator that knows the subject well.

I love the idea personally, but then again it might not work because being a moderator takes time, which is a rare commodity among professionals.

Otherwise...*shrugs*...complaining about it probably isn't going to help anyone.

This is not a "praise the artist" board, so what makes you think that only those are allowed to post here that already have their stuff together?

I very much appreciate the help that is offered here and don't give a Horses ****** (just imagine a Synj word here) if my stuff is not perfect and you dislike it because of that.

argh your all right. My bad and i didn't mean to bash the new members i guess i should of kept it (short) and simple, but in a way i'm not that sorry i brought it up cause it does bring up a good topic and i know i'm not the only one who feels the same and just aren't saying anything about it. Yeah dude your right about not respecting i guess i'm doing it all wrong, i guess emotions are hard to write down in words i apologize for taking out my frustration on you guys.

by the way i'm not judging skills who would? Kindred that is not what i intended to say i might of sounded like i did but believe me it's not.
