hey there. i took a break from the forum for awhile, but i need things to distract me at work, so i'm back for now. here's a business card i recently did. as soon as i got paid for it, the business went under, so i guess i can post it now.

keep in mind that this is commercial work, not high art. =)

oh - the business card is supposed to match the following graphic (both were for the same business, and both were to be incorporated into their website):

I have been over at your site now and I really like your style. Especially this "kind of comic" shading for example on the lower pic you posted.

Very good work overall.

Hi hennifer, I like this a lot. There is motion, character and dynamics in this business card. I don't think the disclaimer about not being 'high art' was necessary, as anyone looking should know, but that's just me. Nice work!

thanks guys.

ozenzo: who's stephen covey?

spitfire: naw, like i said, the business i was doing it for went out of business, so it exists only in the digital world. i wouldn't have much use for a printed version anyways...

I'm currious, how much does it cost to do a 4 color business card? I bet those are expensive to do! I haven't checked in a long time, but I remember that getting a "good" 4 color business card on gloss stock was pretty pricey.

that's a good question, but i'm not sure. i was just delivering in the image in .tif format to the client - he had some kind of printer lined up. not only did he want a 4-color printing job, he wanted the card double-sided: same graphics, but one side japanese.

no wonder he went out of business.

Here, in Croatia, printing a 4 colour biz cards costs around 150DEM (200 pieces)
thats about, roughly, 90-100$
