Ok, this is my first post here but I've been reading every day since I stumbled on this site.
I figure this is an easy way to start out.
My music taste varies greatly, but currently some of my favorites are Deftones, Korn, Tool, Stabbing Westward, Coal Chamber.. some rap and r&b.. anything that strikes me as catchy really :p |

Ugh. Prolly gonna insult like 90% of the people here, but I really can't stand rap or r&b. Just my opinion, but I sure as hell don't critize other people for listening to either. No accounting for taste and all that...
My likes:
R.E.M. <- Doesn't get any better than this.
NIN <- The Fragile is beyond a work of art.
Bjrk <- That voice! love it love it
Fatboy Slim <- Just listen to Blood Island, you'll understand.
Dust Brothers <- New for me, but the Fight Club soundtrack just blew me away...
RHCP <- Californication is great.
*sound of mp3-folder opening*
No more regular artists but a LOT of artist with a few songs I adore. Not gonna bother with all of them, but here's a few:
Beck - Loser, love the lyrics.
Faith No More - Easy, RV
Cranberries - Zombie, Ode To My Family
Beastie Boys - Body Movin' (fatboy slim mix)
Akira soundtrack. Same goes for Ghost In The Shell.
Foo Fighters - My Hero, This is a Call, Everlong(Acoustic)
etc. etc. ad infinitum.
Hope this isn't too long.

Anything except for modern rap and country. It just seems like there's *no* effort going into the rap (r&b, hip hop, they used to exist. Now it's just generic rap) And i won't detail my dislike for country. =p
I like
Hallucinogen (Hardcore trance)
Project U.N.K.L.E (Beastie Boys, DJ Shadow, Radiohead etc in one collaberation! )
Quietman
Radio Head
My Life W/ The Thrill Kill Kult
NIN
Swamp Terrorists (true industrial. wicked samples)
Mike Van Dike
Boards Of Canada (ambiant minimalist. Very cool)
Juno Reactor
Front 242
The Cure
DJ John Kelly
Bob Sinclaire (1 part of Daft Punk. Good stuff)
Beck
KMFDM
EELS (Nobody seems to appreciate them. Maybe because you have to listen to the lyrics to appreciate the music? )
Talking Heads
ABT
Pulp Victim.
Ummm. All I can think of off the top of my head. =)

Heh....
No one listens to rap.
=(
Only me and the other dude. !!
Oh well we still kick ass.
And besides.....
In a fight who would win? Rockers or Rappers?
RAPPERS... because they pack the heat..
And the Rockers would be too busy committing suiced to care... But then the rappers would get pissed off and kill eachother.... and then we wouldn't have any music left... So....
Let's not have them fight.
And beck sux! =P |

to above post:Im remixing a beck song!! heeh, but u dont care! moooo!.
umm....i like NIN a lot....just i was kinda weirded out to find out the the fragile cd is all the same song!!!! every song on there is just a different version of "the fragile" they all have the same notes and instruments just played slightly differently and in different time frames. just thought you would like to know that if you hadn't already.

NiN ehehe all i like of nin is a song they made for Quake (very first one) and all the rest of Quake music they made was liek... "MmmmMMMmmmmmmmMMMmm... TaaammmmMMmmmmmMMM.. *krakakakaka!* TummmmmMMMMMmmm" some ambient sounds .. well pure crup i say.
And HamBum, you better keep the lyrics in beck's song otherwise your time will become WAX, falling on a termite, that's choking on the splinters!!

So, Guybrush, what'd you think? By the way, the name is just "Infected", not "inf3ct3d", but some wanker already had the mp3.com/infected address so I had to improvise. :P By the way, you can see the actual website, rather than just the mp3.com dealie, at http://funhousedigital.com/infected
As anyone who's listened to my band could probably tell, I'm mostly into old school punk rock. Favorite bands include:
Dead Kennedys
Subhumans (Saw em last summer, got teargassed.)
The Adicts
Rudimentary Peni
Crass
Misfits
D.I. (Seen em a few times, great band.)
Adolescents
The Germs
TSOL (who I just saw last night for the third time, w00t, they fuckin' ROCKED.)
GBH (saw last year, great band)
Bad Religion (Saw last year, great band, terrible crowd. :P)
I also listen to a bit of goth (Christian Death, Bauhaus), a bit of "techno" (Orbital, Underworld), a smidgen of Industrial, and some classical, blues, jazz, whatever.
And how could I forget Metallica? Everything between "Ride the Lightning" and "...And Justice For All" was great.
