The size of the ripples make it seem like it is in very shallow water, and the ship is just really small. Was that intentional?

right, you either have to give the water some transparency or add some fog to the water cos there is far to much light in there. Plus you need to add some shadows and stuff from the water or volumetric light comming in through the ripples of the water as the sunlight does through clouds. Other than that the ship looks cool as it comes in but thats all I can say cos there's not much else going on but it does look class

may I add that maybe the ship should give off some waves or bubbles, well alot of bubbles but it should be added in 2d form as it's alot easyer to get a proper effect and some long grassy plants that move like hair if you've got something like maya with you if not then forget that cos it would be pretty hard to do that.

Thanks for the feed back ,, i am going to be adding in particlas for the ship as it passes by .. there will be plant life and some other fishes and animals and stuff , im thinking of adding in some volumetrics , and toneing down the light .. see it is suppost to be kind of shallow right now cuz he is like about to enter the depths of the sea eheh ..

It's very good, but as someone mentionned, the ship looks as if it's a foot in diameter. And the water surface looks like what we would see if we were looking at it from outside of the water.
Also if there were that much light on the surface, I think it would also reflect onto the bottom like this...
