Heh, I've finally stepped out of the shadows..
Well, here is a concept piece of a character - named Lori Crash - for a graphical novel I hope to one day create...
Yeah, I know, her face really sux0rs. It was done in 5 mionutes out of frustration.. Since she will be undergoing major physical changes in my next concept piece, I don't really care too much... and on that note, I leave this piece open for all of you to paint, append, or distort in any way you like
The previous post of OpenArt by Ctrl-Z struck me as a really cool idea, so I want to try and make it a normal thing.
Please post any thoughts, ideas, or critiques...

well i think it's pretty trick. Just need to finish the lines make them a little thicker so someone can use it. I like the concept. Finish it and give a hollar and i'll get to work on it.

Oh, sorry about that - um, go to http://www.room303.com/downloads/Lori-fin.psd to download the layered copy... not too much cleaner, though...
Which brings up a question:
I was planning on going over the main contours of the sketch with an ink pen, then scanning in the inking so that things would be much cleaner - but is there a better way to get clean a sketch short of hours of erasing?

Cool i got the image. Well the way we use to do it was someone would draw the charater, then someone would ink the image, and then scan the image in. Then myself would have to go and clean up the left overs and begin working(cleaning up the image making better lines and inking). But that's the way we did it with 4 guys.
i did this about 4 years ago when i was in school. I like it cause of the face. It's different from the rest of the body. More to come on my site.

Well mine's not quite what i had in mind from first seeing it, but i guess its a matter of skills or lack of
ah well may as well post it, have a laugh and all that.
I got a bit angry at the end and rushed it. mainly the feathers. heh hence why i called it Technocolor.
I got peeved with it. i love the sketch but not so much the position she's in.
oh well.
I did it in ps5.5, with dodge/burn tools, bit of paintbrush/airbrush
few random textures i added some details to the textures.
eh
enjoy heaha
