I meant to post this critique I got from Fred a while ago. I can't remember if I posted the original here or not, but it's a Pshop image I tried a while back. I had no photo reference, although I did glance in a mirror once or twice to scope out details, light/shadow, etc.

Sorry for the huge image size, but I wanted his comments to be legible.

No, I don't look like this.

Thx for sharing it with us, francis. It's really learningful and somehow I find this stuff very inspirational.

...I really hope someone will do this to one of my drawings some time.

I would go back and look at the way Fallen painted hair on his Angelina Jolie piece. He did light and dark shapes not strands of hair. The strands merge together to form masses. Its ok hair is very difficult.
