Hi guys,
I've been lurking around this message board and have nothing but deep admiration for people posting their artwork and tips... thank you very much for sharing the knowledge!
My sister is starting a non-profit website that deals with heart disease and she asked me to design her a logo since I'm the artful part of the family. I usually do portraits and not graphical design so I'm asking you, he gurus, for some ideas. She wants a logo to feature the letter "S" somewhere or a word "Stephanie" (her name). Health, heart scenery is fine as well.
Any tips where to start with the design?
Many thanks,
Jeff |

Us Jeff's have to stick together.
I have done more graphic design since grad. from college than illustration.
One thing that helped me was Print magazine. It helped me see many good graphic logo's and learn. I usually do lots and lots and lots of sketches and then scan them into my computer and use the program Freehand to clean them up. Adobe Illustrator is good too.
...Very noble of you to do this
You sound like a good guy.
By the way Print is rather pricey though but in my opinion it is well worth it. Also keep in mind that the work in Print mag. is the best graphic design in the world so don't get discouraged if you don't think its good enough.
Hope I helped...Jeff's WILL rule the world some day...I promise!!!
