prolly a loose wire. If i let the one at the back of my comp stick out a bit it goes black and white. move speakers away from the sides of the screen as they do stuff like that unless they are in a special case like mine ). also check the back of monitor for loose wires. If you have a digital monitor with the panal at the front to change the colour depth then mess about with that.

Could be humidity. Mine did much the same thing except it was a pink tinge on one side of the screen. At the time the PC was near a half open window, and there'd been a lot of rain, enough to make everything feel damp and mildewy. We moved it to a different room and by the next day the screen cleared.

You could try the same thing, see if it helps.

Looks like you placed a magnet too close to your monitor. Like an unshielded speaker or something like that.

just wiggle the cord in the back of the monitor,. the one that goes to the computer, not the power cord,.. see if the color comes and goes,.. this is a common problem with monitors,.. also if you've recentally unplugged th monitor from the back of the computer,.. unplug it again and make sure the pins aren't bent,..

this is a common problem with gateway trinitron monitors <i used to work for gateay> but it is not limited to this.

if it's under warranty, tell them you want it replaced,.

you needed to get a bigger monitor anyways.,
