OK, I don't remember when I've last ried painting a landscape, which means I rather suck at it. Still, I need to get this image fixed up somewhat by tomorrow, so If you have any sugggestions, I'd appreciate them.
(I'll be detailing the floating Europa a bit, adding spikes and such, and the text, of course, is temporary.)

Is it supposed to be a bit toonish?
You could review the shading of the land though, seems odd to have a big beach and then a cliff.

Oh my! Italy isn't like that at all!
We've got sea on three sides and it's ok for te boot-shape, but please put the three island in our "Tirreno" sea (the one on the left)

Your base is a shpere, try wrapping the brushstrokes around that shape rather than working with horizontal and vertical brushstrokes. brush strokes become important in defining the planes of an object. A wall should be built with horizontal and vertical strokes. Adding curved brushstrokes make the wall look lumpy rather than stiff, rigid, and solid. The same applies to this sphere. There are horizontal brushstrokes in it, that takes away from the spherical shape of the land mass. And there are alot of foreground brush strokes that curve in the opposite direction than the sphere is turning in. This also causes the surface to flatten out. The modelling on the floating object is great, just match the modelling on the globe to it, and you don't have to scribble in a lot of meaningless details... |

Affected,
I would NOT toch a THING!
It looks like a good Illustrason.
Or you want soemthign smooth and real looking?
if so then Blur the landscape some more?
Here a cool trick you may want to try out,
-NEW LAYER
-Press D (sets Black for forgound color, and white for background)
-Filter->render->clouds
-Filters->textuers->Grain
set the grain on clumpy.
-Filter->Stulize->Emboss
- Ctrl+U for Hue color edting.
Check Colorize Play with it for your colors you want. (start with top bar and move down)
Image of Each Setp:
hope this helps (keep in mind far away you cant see too much detail on ladsacpe fade it out as it gos far)
