Well I don't own my own scanner, but ive recently borrowed a friends for a while. Im experiencing something strange, when I scan something I get a yellow Line the middle of the image. As far as i know and as far as the person I bororwed it from knows there isn't anything wrong with the scanner itself. I was wondering if anyone else had heard of this or knew a way to fix it.
The Scanner is a AVEC II E3 (Relisys?) im using the drivers that came with it. And just using ECP on my lpt1 port. Im scanning in PhotoShop with Twain_32 suppourt.
Heres an image of what it does.
Thanks in advance.

Since it draws a line, it's probably a little spot on the reader of the scanner...

IF its a Hand Hold Scanner check for Dust?
Check the Inner side of the scnner if its Flatbox scanner.
looks like time to clean it. if not take it into photoshop and mock it up

my thought would be to move whatever you're scanning so i won't show up where the yellow line is,.
second replace the bulb, it couls have a small burn on it...

Digital Art people...
Scanners would be in random musings, as would questions about your wacom, printer, or anything else...
I dont mean to be an @$$hole, but im tired, tired, TIRED of this ish...
You disagree, than that's your opinion, but i believe dhabih and most veterans have stated this many timez....

Cypher, I meant no harm just anoyed that I get a yellow line in hte middle of my scans. I WAS going to put it in random musings, but wasn't sure since it still relates to digital art..

IMHO scanners have to do with digital art so...
I had this same problem with the scanner too.
After I calibrated it the problem was solved.
(Calibration is some in the twain menu when u want to scan something.) |
