I think its neat! The only thing is the water looks a bit..... plastic, and that I would have made the image only half as big horizontally so that the fella on the left would have been the focus. Maybe thats just me tho. Otherwise, nice work!

Personally, I think the water looks perfect.. in fact, it's my favorite part of the image.

As far as scaling it down horizontally, I'll have to disagree as well :/ There is such a thing as asymmetrical balance.. and I think you've achieved it quite well. The sun is the focal point of the image, being so bright and all.. and also, being cenetered.

I think it's a great piece. My only suggestion would be to give the figure more contrast/detail.. as it is, he looks kinda of foggy. Like his clothes are all smokey or something.. he needs more value.

Sorry for disagreeing with you so much Darkynz, I didn't mean to be a jackass :|

I'm guessing he lost his fishing rod and is planning to shoot the fish, then clean them with his sword.

LOL..I thought the same thing. The character feels Really out of place. The silouhette is a nice way to imply things without having to do alot of work (see Craig Mullin's monthly column) BUT..when you have objects that are entirely imaginary, such as that bigass gun, you really feel the need to see more of it. To be able to define it, in depth, size, color, etc. If he was simply there with a sword I don't think this would be as glaring.
But Nice background bro, very nice!

Well i'm guessing he's like the crocodile dundee or something. He looks like some kind of strange hunter with a machine gun and a samurai sword, its really odd.

You could add a few grenades to his belt... and maybe a rocket launcher and a bull whip.

But seriously, I really like the feel of the pic. I think that he's a bounty hunter, and that he's staring into the sunset, reminiscing about all the people he's fragged.

First of all .. great pic, the concept really rocks. My favorite part is without doubt the background. The sky, sunset, water. It works really well. But the foreground is a bit confusing. It's too dark. might just be my monitor settings. But it makes it hard to all of the nice details of your character. And then the gun is a little large. or ?

Well keep it up.. as said. it's a great pic.

That's quite a good drawing, sets a nice mood. I kinda got the impression that he's staring at the industrial city at the horizon. He's probably gonna go there and get 2 pounds of revenge for the price of one.

I have to agree that the combo of G36K and sword looks kinda weird. But then again, how many times have you seen someone meditate over a beautiful sunset before annihilating a city?
