hmm, more and more I see people are using Painter..
Im keen to try this, (Although with the wacom I got "Painter classic", but I guess that is not the version that you guys ae talking about.. rite?) - as my expereince with Painter classic, was that i felt I had no control, and the GUI was real sloppy. is there a big differnce from The free version with the wacom, or are much more and many better features in the full version, if so.. how does this compare to photoshop? - and if you prefer Painter, why?

Painter Classic is like Painter Lite. Similar program, with some advanced features removed. Yeah, Painter's interface kinda sucks, but fortunately, I don't deal with it much. Just pick a brush and paint.
For digital "painting", I MUCH prefer Painter to Photoshop. It's just much more suited to the job. But for design or photo-editing, I'd definitely use Photoshop.
