Hey,
Got a image i like to Critique,
Its done in Photoshop,
ohh its around 1000x1000 (real size)
was resized down to smaller size.
its Black and White image
I took a Screen Shoot well i was watching Robbin Hood (old ver) on TV today. so i printed out the image and started painting freehand.
Working with Black and white is way fun! i look to do more black and white images, have not to worry about colors.
Btw thats Robbin at the Arrow Shooting Contest where he gets the hand of thi ladi =)
Whats do you all think?

The hand is a bit small, uhm wheres the other hand? or arm going? it looks like it just kind of stops. the background would be alittle more appealing if it was alittle less blurry then u have. And mabye more grass, thats tall grass right? or thoes things.. erm, yea anyways. good job tho keep it up! ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/smile.gif) |

-mood, u have mood down, i like it...i cant say why, which is wierd, but yeah i like the mood sorta.
-dimentionality...i see lil of it...
i'd say the best way to improve it would be to increase the contrast in the lighting (use the levels palette) increase the gradient ranges in the wrinkles in the clothes first tho...so u dont loose detail there.
-unfocus the horse like u diod the lamp
-forshorten the farther cheek a bit more, and lower the cheek bone on the y axis too..
-i love the values in the face...nice...
hehhe, i just love the mood u gave it, i can see the 'look' u were shooting for and the mood u were shooting for. most of the time here we see floating illustrations where composition is an afterthought...you're not doing taht here...yer accually considering some other elements other then the main subject to create more then just a drawing...well done |
