Just tought it was time to post something ..
Just started my first image on my new wacom, and I am having trouble with the blurry edges , anyone has some tips to make things sharper..
Anyway, this is what the pic supposed to be :
but I began on the head, and it was so much fun, tried to put some detail in, and tried to make a second red light.. so the head is here. :
Hope you can comment on this .. |

I'm no pro in Photoshop (I prefer the "Napkin and Bic Pen" medium) but when I do use PS, blurry edges seem to crop up only if I use the Blur tool. Avoid it dude. You obviously have skill, and blurring might just hinder you.....
To sharpen up the current pic, just pic a super-fine brush with a dark brown and slowly layer it around the blurred edges.

well because you think with logic and wits, you decided to draw the face in to a new layer to begin with, so that you can easily erase and edit the edges without affectign the background?
you also have decided to take it as your duty to learn the correct usage of the burn/dodge tool?
not to mention correct usage of the sharpen tool, and Unsharpen Mask filter? and quickmask? and channels?

to fix the blurriness,...
do one of two things:
1) increase the resolution of the image
2) use smaller brushes, when painting

Or just use soft brushes as little as possible.
I really like the head, though. |
