-wicked drawing, the line drawing is excellent
-texture is very flat, it looks like u just slapped on a filter/texture and used the burn tool, needs more depth to the perspective shading
-shadow...make it volumetric, think about what type of shadow would be cast and do it right...big blobs are a cheap way out.
-light source doesnt match the shadow's direction...tweak one or the other (or both, i'd do both)
-give the contour lines some weight. in areas of pressure make the lines thin, in areas of shadow, make the lines thick.
-fantastic color selection
-bacground color...nice
-fantastic expression

lol..I did this piece in under 30 minutes, in keeping with the quick style so prevalent here. I did it more as starting a new thread for unusual animals, but that's for the critique nonetheless. |
