Heyhey, good news! That is, if you like any of my 3D animation work. I made a deal with a production company to produce t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, keychains, ACTION FIGURES for my characters yay! If you do enjoy my work, and want to help it along, please check out www.synj.net and maybe even pass by the production line. I will have the full list up by saturday afternoon (EST).
If you aren't familiar with my work, I'd like to share a few recent animations with you:
Koy, america's favorite gun-toting candy dispencer: http://www.synj.net/files/koy-320x240.zip
Eko warrior fights urkus, and spencer: http://www.synj.net/files/volume1-large.zip
Ike and the eGg, friendship at its finest: http://www.synj.net/files/show1.zip
and the continuation, http://www.synj.net/files/show2.zip
All of these files are zipped AVI files, at a minimum of 30 seconds long.
Enjoy

Hey Synj,
I reeally like your stuff. You have talent, not like me who is too damn analytical. You just know what's good. Orangeyfat? How the hell did you come up with that? It's perfect!
I can tell you how I do my stuff, but yours is like a chinese puzzle, defying all attempts to figure out why it works.
Good luck with the t-shirts and coffee mugs, I am glad there is a market for it.
ps i am talking mostly bout your drawings here, I am not a good judge of the animations. Or maybe you need to develop them into longer stories. The 2-d and character works suggests so much. |

Synj, I really like your work. I downloaded you animations yesterday. Man, you've made a lot of them. After watching them all I figured out that you must have a really wacky brain, hehe
But, they are infact really good, animation as well. It's really fun to see such impulsive work, which also shows that you have a from within. like darth wader would say it
Keep up the good work !
ps! We must do a drawing together on the whiteboard some day

koy-large:
-=-=-=-=-=
- a 2d look, even tho it's obviousely 3D. different, love it.
-the subtle textures everywhere "time to Die" smile or death happenes" LOL! and the music! u even synched the action to the music!
-there's this one zoom in on the brown guys head just when the first shot rings out...it just shows great camera movement, gets you right into the action...professional.
-all the animations have great timming and they speak for the characters. even tho there are no facial expressions at all, the characters movemnets reveal the emotion..body language...awesome thats SO hard to pull off succesfully.
-my only critisim is ITS TOO SHORT! I WANT MORE!
Volume1-large:
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
-the balance and sense of weight is excellent.
-again, great camera cuts...not as dynamic as the last one, BUT that one was dealing with differnt areas of elevation, so i guess there as more opertunity.
-there expressions are so funny d00d, i love it the wave, then he gets pummled by the pop-gun. heh, u do the sound synching so well...
everything is so tight, the animation, the character design is simple, hilarious and effective.
the way ike gets his mouth....ughhh! yuuuuk!

I'd really like to watch your animations but the downloads are just too damn slow (about 1 kb/s) and then they get completely stuck at the middle. With your site's popularity on the rise, maybe you should get a European mirror server for the files?
Anyway, I've enjoyed your paintings you've been posting, congratulations on the new products too

whoa hey!!! thanks guys for real hehe i thought this topic would have been dead by the time i got back.
For anyone wondering when koy would be completed.. I just completed it today: http://www.synj.net/files/koy-320x240.zip
low res, http://www.synj.net/files/koy-160x120.zip
Francis, Trance-R: thanks!!!
Spooge: now that is neat. Getting a thumbs up from you man hehe. The animations would be longer, but the files are so big in 320x240, and i'm 56k. Takes almost 2 hours to upload the sucker sometimes. btw love your work
Micke: thanks dude! well, uh.. I didn't post the animations cuz i figured nobody would get them before, but after seeing the one video post i figured i should give it a shot. I'll letcha know when i have another out *tips hat* It rocks to draw with you, micke.
Joachim: Thanks dude. Sure thing! I've been lookin for your there, seen your stuff with micke, great concepts and such!
Pak-rat: Hehe thanks for the in-depth feedback.. usually don't get that anywhere. I'll keep in mind that people actually DO pay attention to the camera movements now
Saf: Doh! but thanks
Ned: Yes! The orangeyfat sure was a good sketch to bring to life it seems. Btw, he says hi.
YEEHAW!!!

haha loki! That's alot of work you know!
80 frames right there. Sorry about that. But hey it was unexpected right? Unexpected things are funny sometimes, except for house evictions and lost limbs.
Actually.. that's ME singing. And me talking for the egg as well. Just pitched up/down to stuff. No, I do not sound like a 6 year old boy. But hey that'd be kinda cool if i did.
Oh, yeah. Btw, there will be a sequel seperate download to the continuation of koy. I gotta split it up to be fair to people's bandwidth/time hehe. including my own - that thing is 8 megs!
