Time willing I will be , I like the setting for once, normally comps always strike me as boring or glorified excuses to get some freebies out of the community!

But I like Character Design and decayed settings

Post a message in 3dp, saying that immi alone will be processing the entries, just to avoid any bs afterwards...

Fallout is my favorite game... Only you had to wait for the easter break and I won't be around you sobs!!!(b for brahmin ) (I'll try my best in the time remaining... )

btw I heard something about fallout 3 being full 3d, (I'M CUMMINGGG ), any other rumors?

Well...im entering...just for fun of course (i can't win...not that i would)...but i want to see how I stack up against everyone else. (Kick YO ASS!)

I'm not sure on how the judging is going to work, but i'd prefer instead of having just the favourites picked by dhabih and mullins, that they actually be marked or something:
eg.

Character Design /25
Originality /5
Style /5
Background /5
Coolness /5

Thats just a rough example, but i'd like it somehting like that, so everyone gets a score out of 100 (50 x 2 judges) I dunno, on tests I always liked seeing what I did well in, what i did bad in etc etc. The top 10 or 5 or whatever can get a critique by dhab and craig. Eg. this is what u did right, this is what u did wrong.

What do u guys think?

About Fallout 3: Theres been a lot of rumours and they're dropping hints left, right and centre that they're going to be doing a fallout 3 soon. Also, they just leased the Lithtech Engine, so a FO3 will likely be 3d, but from the same perspective as before, just with the ability to zoom ina and stuff. The latest issue of PCGamer they said: Well, I can say that the team that just finished up Torment is going to be using the (LithTech) engine and there are already around ten of them working toward putting a prototype together. Just to hint at something, we are putting together a project that a lot of people have been asking us to do.

Sounds interesting.

BTW, yeah, im handling all the entries...so there won't be any funny business. (well...just a little bit)

Ok, I will probably enter and lose miserably, but oh well..

Immi, I always wonder why the top 10 or 5 would be critiqued by the judges... Why would the "top" picks be critiqued instead of the lower scoring artwork that needs it?? I never have seen how that works in contests...

immi: wtf u started cheating already! Where are the rest 10 points??? There probably should be some judging system like that... I dunno, U figure it out (hehehe)

about fallout 3: Dammit we're sooo gonna wait...

Jerrid: The thing with that is that the lowest stuff will probably be critisised as ''go home boy''...

irrelevant-that loose cannon looks big

I'm in. I'm actually finishing up my piece as we speak..kinda weird though. I did it in about a week. I feel like one of those kids who finishes their test early and looks around at the other students, then finds out after he turns it in and fails, that he missed the entire back page. SO...I'm keeping a hold of it for about a week, just looking it over for any incongruities I might have missed :P

BTW..A scoring system sounds killer...but the actual critique might be difficult (for the reason posed earlier about who needs it)
Wouldn't we all like these fellas to talk about our stuff? BUT..amplify that critique by however many entries..that's alot of time and red ink. Anyway...I digress.

I'm outtie,

Salt

Time willing, I'm in.

My love of the theme goes back to Wasteland! Anyone remember that old RPG? It would be great to put some full-color detailed life into the old low-res, but wonderfully scripted game.

I can just picture the Desert Rangers plodding through a heat-haze, Uzi's in hand. . .

Count me in too. I'm not to good at creating characters for a post-apocalyptic world. I'm more of a superhero kinda guy, but I'm going to give it a shot. Course with folks like micke and Joachim entering.. I'm really just doing this for kicks.

I'm in. I'm going to get killed by guys like Micke, Joachim, derPunkt, Funfetus, and others, but that's not gonna stop me from trying, and possibly crying myself to sleep when I lose.

I'm in, but my confidence isn't incredibly high with artists like Joachim, Micke, and the Innerloop crew.. oh and Derpunkt and Funfetus too :/

I'm scared.

I didnt think i would not enter, but today i just started putting on paper something amazing! (well for me it is.. err i dont care what you all think! ;|) Well actially i didnt think i could draw like that and almost put on paper what i have inside my head! (what i imagined that is) Im gonna color it but my PS skills not too good
Hey i think i had this personal drawing breakthrough because of this Groupboard thing! Been drawing for 3 days heheh its kickass and people who erase it only make me go on and become better!

Aww loosing the point. I was gonna say about this new 3dpal update that even some "celebrities" will participate so peeps like me dont have a chance..... ahh! Now i am just FORCED to use the nukes!!!
Weeeeeeee.....

PS: hmm i have a feeling im gonna win.. that is BAD because when i feel somethign is gonna happen ther's 100% chance that it will NOT happen!! bah

I wonder... how much would it take to bribe those two freaks? Hehe, sorry, I won't join, I'm busy doing Soul Calibur's Mitsurugi and since that's not exactly post-apocalyptic nor original, I won't send it in. Maybe next time, when you do a pre-apocalyptic character compo Apocalypses are bad, mmkay?

Mein pic very original, but i only have a 80% sketch (without details) and my fUx0rz PS skills are gonna fUx0r it up even more! ahhhh!

I wasn't going to bother (I hate competitions. plus being a hack 'n all.)
but I had an idea that might fit the bill, so I'm having a bash.
