When i draw with my mouse (getting tablet soon), my pictures always turn out jumpy... do i have my courser speed to high or something? how do you guys do it? because when i look at your pictures they always turn out neat, accurate and smooth, but mine turns out jumpy and scribly... as if my hand was shaking while i was drawing, LOL... any tips?

I get lucky. I am in a 1024x768 resolution when i draw and i have just $5.00 logictech standard 2 button mouse. I don't whip the mouse around, but i do draw fast. I don't know if those are any contributing factors, but that's all i can think of really.

Well im not very good at the whole digi art thing but ill try and help a bit. Firstly as far as i know it depends on how your painting If your just using big brushes and slapping your images down and not preparing the shapes and or tones etc u will get rather bumpy or scratchy looking images as if unfinished.
I think the secret is high res high zoom and alot of patience/practice.

I turn down the sensitivity on my mouse when I draw with it. Keeps it from jumping.

I cannot stress this enough!! INVEST IN A TABLET!!! (I know you're getting one soon bro..but this goes for all digital artists) The Wacom tablet was by far the best investment I could make in my career (with the obvious exception of my computer) I've at times gone back to trying to use my mouse and you really, really, really notice a difference not only in style but approach.
I feel like a tablet salesman but they're that good. I rarely even use my mouse anymore even for clicking on stuff whilst in Photoshop..hehe.
Here's an example of a piece I did with my tablet...

ah nice image cept the tombstone texture looks a bit sharp looks you could cut yourself on it
The guy in the image kind of reminds me of something out of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer tv series.
I agree tablet is a good investment im currently using a mouse due to tablets here in Australia costing about $350 for a 6x8 and i just dont have that kind of money.
anyway thats enough babble.

I aggree with Aciddrone - In England you need to re-mortgage your house to get a Wacom (Hardware is sooo much cheaper in the US!)
I use a shitty 2 button Compaq mouse, The main thing is to keep practicing with it and things soon start to work better.

Aren't all tombstones supposed to cut people?? Maybe growing up in a funeral home has hardened me to the grim realities of nature's effect on stone slabs. Actually..this piece was done completely in one day..From conception to finish for my clan's webpage (it's the splashscreen.)

In case any of you guys want to check it out

A few of my conceptual graphic background images are in there as well. Since my life revolves around the gaming industry...I plunge most of my waking hours into doing stuff for it, and LmnoP has given me a bit of an opportunity to spread my havok-wreaking, carnage flinging, wings.
