hey that's pretty nice!!

one thing i think you could do is get some light sourcing on the ball when it goes blue.. but the face, cloak, arms etc all move and look fantastic!

do some more stuff that'd look great in a portfolio.

You know, it was better than I expected, that's for sure. (Most 3d animation I've seen has been really, really dodgy: No acceleration towards the end of movements etc.) The robe, of course, is a bit stiff, but cloth is a bit of a bitch to animate without plugins. I think I would like to see the elbows bend a little more when he's moving his arms, and maybe make him use his back and hips a little more when moving. The arms could perhaps make slightly broader movements, too. (And there were a couple of slightly dodgy camera cuts)

But ya, it was quite good, overall. Good work, keep at it. I especially liked the bit after he opened his eyes.

wow! for your first attempt, that is really nice. Just wondering, what program did you model/animate in?
What I would change, though, is maybe putting a background or at least a platform where he can stand (instead of the thin black air ). Also, a little better lighting. Animators always use at least three lights. Im not exactly sure where they go (Im assuming one in back, one in front, and one at a birds eye view)... and like Affected said, the cloak seems a little stiff, but thats ok. nice work!

Siell, siell.

Tuota...

Kurssimaksutkaan eivt pt huimaa, siin 30-40 mk/kurssi.

12-18. (Onko se perti seuraava viikonloppu? M tss juuri tulostelen erinisi kuvia nyttelyyn.. )

kiitosta.

hehe... im an idiot; i totally blew by the part where you said which program you use. But yes, I have AM. It is a very good program, but I found it very hard to learn by myself; i never was able to really grasp on how to model with splines. But now I use Mirai and Maya at my high school; Mirai's polygon modeler is great and it is a lot better in character animation than any other program... but of course, for the price, you cant beat Hash... and 2000 AM came out too with a some new toys

Thanks for the comments

about the cloak : yea, i know, it's not
animating well enough.. it is too simple
to make folds.
anyway.. i know there are some things
that are a bit busted, but i made this
for a school project and the deadline
is closing in so..

I made this witch thing with Animation
Master 99. It's a cheap ( around 250 usd )
3d software that has almost all the
features the "bigger" names have to
offer. find it at http://www.hash.com

affected : olitkos tuolta tammerkosken kuvataidelukiosta ? pikkuveli yritt sinne, osaakko kertoa kuinka vaikeaa pitklle kuvislinjalle on pst ?

Not bad, mister. I feel like sharing my latest 3D animation with you, complete with sound. It's high quality, so it's about 6.5 megs.
The Intro to Koy
