Let's not resort to calling eachother names... Good moves though, Faust & Mick.

And no, i dont think anyone in here has any intentions on changing the way you think, or thought, Mongoose, but we can at least try to change the way others might think about stealing someones work.

Mongoose - I'm disappointed.

First of all, the reason why everyone here is upset, is because you basically fooled them for quite a while and exploited their trust in you as an artist.

The reason why you did this was because you saw a lot of cool images and wanted to do designs yourself. So, instead of working hard to improve your undeveloped skills, you didn't trust yourself in being able to do this and probably were too lazy too. So you went the short way - you thought - on the net, I can do this - all those stupid people will never find out.
The internet though, is basically a network, and the structure you used, is biting you in the ass right now. And, frankly, you deserve it.

But, at the same time, I feel sorry for you. Your longing for fame(?) and your insecurity made you do this. I'm sure there have been more situations in your life where you showed the same pattern (school, with friends). Snap out of it! It's going nowhere - this will fuck your whole life up and you'll end up as the person you want to avoid at all costs to be: a looser.

It will be hard, and I doubt you gonna make it - but do yourself a favour and be honest to yourself and others. Otherwise you'll stay what you most definetely are right now: a looser.

[last note: give up those lame excuses and stand up for yourself. Even Stevie Wonder could see that the stuff on your page is ripped]

personally, i could care less if he ripped the art. i'm pretty apathetic,
the boy's taken a beating and needs positive criticism,.
things like this an person needs friends, not people out to shoot them...

This mongoose guy's gettin pretty much crucified i mean geeze what a moron and it's not like he doesnt deserve it i think people who do the shit he did SHOULD get in trouble. Oh well there will always be lamers.

It seems to me that all of this anger has a proper base and is warranted. What Mongoose did, stealing from others and being a hypocritical bitch, is terrible. He's lying scum and we all know that.

Indeed, he should be punished for his actions, but we are not the ones to do it. He's built up some seriously bad karma that will one day come around to biite him in the ass.

Remember, hate and love are the same. They are both passionate expressions of emotion. Apapthy is the way to approach this. Ignore him, and he will go away. And go away forever.

Alright, I figure he's probably been flamed enough by now, so I'm gonna do my best to keep this one short... Mongoose, if you don't care what we all think, why did you even bother posting your images in the first place? Doesn't that just show that you've obviously got some sort of need for attention for your art...

Ok, I have one other question for everyone else... I haven't been here all that long, but are there any "I just started this, but haven't finished it yet" pieces by mongoose? I mean, are there any threads that show the progress of any of his pieces, because I'm pretty sure that that could show some innocence... and I don't konw all that much about 3D rendering, but I know it's complicated as hell and that you didn't make that car...

Well.. at least he acknowledges the fact that he stole some pictures, which a lot of people don't do, even if it's a clear rip off or scan. (still doesn't make it right though). What bothers me however, is the lying part in all these rip-discussions.. In this case, it's the 3d model..

Mongoose says he's got the model and the textures on his harddisk.. well.. surprise surprise.. so do I .. the jaguar xj220 is one of the 35 free models on the REM 3D models bank demo cd.

I'm not trying to make anybody look bad or anything, just sharing knowledge here..
