How do you do, since posting quick portraits is becoming a fine tradition of this forum (thanks to Joachim, Micke, Sumaleth & others ), here's one I did today. It's Miles Davis, I had a black&white photo for reference.

Miles is the man, but from the looks of this pic you would think he was playing a clarinet or a sax. Need to define the mouthpiece more. I play trumpet and that ain't no trumpet.
The rest of the pic looks great though.

I play trumpet as well, just define the mouthpiece, and add more brass. Also maybe try to make it so you can see his fingers a bit more. |

You've got a wicked style going on there. I don't know if you're being paid for what you do but I'm sure there are a lot of magazines and other publications that would be interested in your portraits. Some freelance work could be in your future (that is, of course, if you're not already doing it). |

Love the dreamy quality of this pic.
Looks like you may have been hitting that 'peace pipe' of his a couple of times during!

Eclipse, I'm not being paid for anything at the moment. I've been searching for a job more or less actively, but no one in Finland seems to want a 19-year old who intends to continue studying later...
Hey, if anyone in Europe happens to have a job offer, do mail me, I'm flexible and willing to relocate! (I know this is really not the place for this, but I'm getting desperate )

That looks very good saffron ! ..-yet again
How about doing a self portrait...I just think it's so fun when people paint themself, since then the reference picture is a non-public picture.....not that it actually matters. . .
Anyway, great work ! Keep it up !
