I was just wondering how did you all find Dhabih's site?

I followed a link on VE, funnily enough, that was posting one of his pics (forgot which one). That was back in 97 if I remember correctly - or maybe early 98...

Anyway - so how did you all find Dhabih?

I used to play the Realm, and so did he, as Chapel. I went to his website a couple years ago and he said he would no longer be updating it, but provided a link to his new digital art site. I can't draw stick people, and I can't get into many of the conversations, but I really enjoy looking at what people have created.

Ahh.. natalieportman.com, she ruL3z, w000t! I found sijun.com through Eyeball Design somewhere in September last year. I first heard about Eyeball Design (eyeball-design.com) in #html (Undernet).

BluesNews

it seemed odd that there would be art displayed there at all. (good tactic. I wonder how many others tried to do that after Dhabih started doing it?)

Good ol' Gameart introduced me to the entire digital art scene, including Dhab's site.

Scaramel,
I used to play The Realm to! And I found this place through his site to! haha I find that very amusing.....how long ago was it that you all played? it has been about 1 1\2 for me now, but I do vaguely remember a Chapel, I went by the name RandAlTh0r. Thats so funny....

There was a link on gamedev.net to the Danny feature on 3DPalette.com. Somewhere in the article they mentioned sijun.com.

I came, I saw, I never left...

and ummm *palm raised in air* i attempted to get recognition at blues too it worked for a year Then i moved our team to 3dpalette.com and Blue ignored us...whatever...

Ah, a Wheel of Time fan, eh? I went by JudgeLAN... and honestly, I can't say I ever actually met Chapel in the game. I just know he played the game through his website, which I found from the Realm's page. I stopped playing um... when they wiped the game. A couple Novembers ago, I think? I believe I stopped playing about two years ago.

I found the link at Eyeball design just like Oscar A. I think it was sometime last fall too. I'm not sure how I got to that site though. Probably just fartin' around on the web.

I'm not sure I remember, but here goes:

My friend Nirrad sent me a link to Dhab's page over e-mail one time. Oh, and I should mention that over a series of e-mail responses about the site, he mentioned "so, how would you like to meet the guy..?" It turns out that my friend beta tested for a while at Valve and once saw Dhabih himself! He said that he was testing and Dhab came and stood/sat (i don't remember) at the computer beside him and played some games. He said he froze instantly when he realized saw 'God' was right next to him! I thought it would be the greatest thing in the world to have a chance to meet my favorite artist so.. I got signed up for testing (they never called me in, but I'm in the area so maybe someday, someday..)

*whoa, a little off track, but a great story nontheless*
