Thanx in advance

For one thing, the ARTZII has 256 levels of pressure sensitivity opposed to the Intuos' 1024. That's all I know (and care about). |

Dhabih works with the ArtzII digitizer and I saw his drawings... looks good though.
The problem is I can buy an ArtZII board from someone ( 12"x12" ) and I saw an Ad for an Intuos .. so I was wondering if the ArtZII really is inferior to the Intuos serie !

Yeah, the ArtzII is inferior as Oscar said, but if I am correct, you can get a larger ArtzII for cheaper than an Intuos.
So would you rather larger and cheaper, or better and more expensive?
Also, (I think) Dhabih did use an ArtzII, but now he uses an Intuos (again, I think).

Hi
Of course the Intuos is build on newer technology... USB and so on...
But if you think that your hand can administer all of the 1024 levels of pressure, then think again.
I've painted with both of the tablets, and there's zero difference, other than the Intuos' pen is slightly better (lies better in the hand).
On top of the above there's a whole range of new (very expensive) tools for the Intuos, such as a 4D mouse, a cool airbrush and an assortment of "weird" pens.
I own an old UD-series ArtZII, and I'm not considering an upgrade yet...
Just my thoughts...

The ArtZII is actually already about 6 years old if I remember right.
The main improvements of the Intuos are:
1. 1024 level of pressure sensitivity (as people mentioned above)
2. higher resolution of the tablet itself (that means it's more exact and doesn't 'jitter' even when you've mapped it over two monitors)
3. quicker IO - the data handling of the intupos is much quicker - but that only works fully when it's hooked up to an USB port, since it's throughput is much better than the 100 year old paralell port ... |

I just got a 6x8 Intuos from pcconnection.com I *think* they had over 100 in stock at that time.
