It's interesting, but for this kind of minimal design to work it needs to be perfectly snappy, and here the layout isn't quite as harmonious as it could be (to my eye at least)... Maybe try playing around with the placement of the elements a bit more? The basic concept is pleasing though, it just needs stronger focus.
