What do you guys think about an Art Contest? Just for the people here at this Forum. We could come up with a Theme, or a Setting, something along that line. We have a week to do it in. What do you all think?

HAHA! You have not seen any of my work, I think you are pretty safe. I was thinking we could talk Dhabih into judging

If not, we will think of somthing.

Cool idea, whatever you do try to make the webpage with using LESS GRAPHCIS as you can most the images you have will be the ones Entered in the CONTEST.

I am guessing the Pupblic is the CONTEST voters? or maybe just a Members thing?

That's a great idea! I think it should be open to 2d and 3d art too. Man that would be fun!

I also agree w/ the idea of getting dhabih to judge.

What do you guys want the contest to be over? Origenality? Most Abstract? Most technical? Best use of Colour? Those are just some ideas. Throw some of your own out and lets see what we can come up with.

i think that there should be two contests...

one for 2d and digital paintings (anything not 3d)

and a second one for 3d art...

I think it's a great idea........
It would be real good with different classes
e.g. best color, best 2d, best 3d, best technical, best digital painted etc.

yeah, that would be cool. we could sorta have it organized like an art show or something. best abstract, etc. I also am working on a site called quadrent with a few friends. I might be able to talk them into sponsoring it if dhab won't.

I dont know, I think that Loki/Spooge/Micke/joachim would just roll over me(cant speak for the rest of you), without much of a problem. Frost is pretty damned good too...

I think the ocntest should be for people on this board only, and in CLASSES. Take ScoobyDoo for example.. he sucks (hehaha joking!!) Take me for example.. /me sux0rs so if me and Scooby competed against say Dhabih, who would win? Well those classes i mean.. the CRAP Level, Intermediate Level, and the Professional bums Level.

see? and if you dont make a contest finally --> i nuke you personally!

I agree with the class thing. rookies, (first timers)intermediates (me) pros(dhabih, mullins, joachim) and get someone not involved to judge. All styles would be welcome but we'd have to decide 2d or 3d. Why not have 2 separate contests and the winners of each go head on? This would decide the overall mutha'.

Subject matter could be voted on by the participants.
whatever is decided, count me in.

This is great! Glad you are all for it

Lets set a date and time for the contest to begin. You will all be held to your honor about when you start. I say this Friday sometime. As far as the theme goes, we should put in our suggestions about what we want, then the judges take those suggestions and pick one for all the categories(beginners, intermediate, and Dhabih

) Then at the time of the contest they post what it is. That way it is basically fair for everyone. Just an Idea.
