I first saw a brief preview of this movie late last year before the animation was complete and thought maybe this would be THE next movie, however, after seeing this preview I was rather disappointed to find out it was animated. Looks to Disney to me, I was hoping for a starwars type movie with real actors and all.
Dont get me wrong and Im still planning on seeing it and it might be cool, but its not what I expected.

That final fantasy movie should be a breakthrough if it delivers what promises... |

I worked on the FF-movie for over 1.5 years. And it'll still be a while before it's being released. Doing full-CG movies is waaayyy much more work than doing CG-effects ....
It should look fine though ... |

WOw, the space ships and all that is pretty good, but I hope they could use realistic 3D CG characters instead. |

kos: well - watch the movie - you wouldn't really want me to give away the end, would you? And I really wouldn't want to sue my little ass because I broke my NDA ... but it's a cool ride, rest assured!
Trance: The characters will be awesome - didn't you see the closeups? Seems like you're talking about the 'Starlancer' intro, which had awesome space-battle scenes but (sorry to say that) not very impressive digital characters ... |

The movie will actually be PG-13. And, hey, I played FF7 when I was 26 years old so does that give me the status of a 10 year old???
well, maybe, I guess... |

lol...I liked tactics and xenogears much better though. Why do they keep saying 'final' after a dozen of sequels anyway? |

Whoa, you're working on the FF movie, Loki! Cool!
Does the characters look like in the FF8 cutscenes, or are they more complex?

I USED to work for the movie-project. I left pretty much a year ago.
No, the movie will definetely look better than the FF8 FMVs and no, there won't be any cutesy characters. The whole thing will be quite realistic. |
