Heya.. I noticed some people were posting screen res and other information before, but I have a specific question for all you 21" monitor owners/users out there.

Right now I'm working on a 21" Viewsonic P815. I've already had to send one back for bleeding and ghosting and this one is going back for discoloration and interferance problems. So needless to say I'm switching brands. I'm currenlty looking at Hitcahi and Mitsubishi, the 813 and 2020u models respectively.

Does anyone have any experience working on either of these (or any other large monitors from either company) for an extended ammount of time? The only other 21" monitors i have worked with for any time other than this one are Sony and I'm not a huge fan of their larger screens. Any help/reccomendations would be greatly appreciated!

At work I use Sony's 520GS Multiscans, which are really sharp, stable and reliable. And I just bought a 22" Mitsubishi Diamondtron for my setup at home - it's got a superflat tube, two inputs, is very sharp and the colors seem allright too - and I can run 1600x1200 at 85Hz which is really nice. It generally runs about around $1000 and is worth the money IMHO (same price as a Sony 21" - even less).

At home I work on Iiyama 19"
At work I use a 21" Iiyama and a 19" Eizo.
2 great monitors. Also I once had a Taxxan which was really GREAT.

But my experiences with Hitatchi ain't to good, no clear view, crappy menu etc.
The Mitsubitsi monitors are great, clear as hell!. by the way, a lot of monitors use SONY parts. So better pre-check is you don't want SONY.

Greets
Jeff

Wher can I but a good 19 " monitor? I'm thinking of those that were mentoined above (ie. Taxxan, Iyama, Misubushi, or Sony) within the $200-$400 price range.
Know of any sites that give good reviews of monitors? www.sharkyextreme.com has some kickass reviews on everything electronic . They even find the lowest prices on the net for CPU's, (AMD nad Intel). Do you know of any sites that do this for monitors?
Thanks for your help for I'm gonna buy a new monitor next month.

Loki: what model numer is the 22" that you purchased? is it the 2020u? I like the diamondtron screens more than trinitron screens which for some reason bother my eyes. I was looking at the sony 500PS which isnt that bad.

Trance: Ive read em all, but most of them arent written by artists who sit in front of them for 12+ hours a day so they dont help as much as i would like them to.
