Well, my first digital pic was the "Mon'Sharah" pic in the portfolio on my site.
Can't link to it from here 'cause of some stupid spaceports cgi script, but go to the site and check it out.

Hehe... I'm defenitely goin' to join the fun!
Here goes:
It's my first pixeling from the bygone amiga days - 1994/95? or something.
It might require an explanation...
Here's the simple version:
Amiga vs. PC...
...an old story from The Scene:
Basically, we hated the PC-DOOM-PLAYING-PEOPLE! ...It's was quite fun when I was
a little teenager back then
...later

Well here is my first "attempt" at a digital pic if you could say that. I drew it then scanned it in and added color (the digital part). Didn't do much to it.. but hey.. its in color now!
BTW I usually go by Chapel but I screwed up my account

Not my first "digital art" because that would be in ANSI which is kinda hard to post without converting it which i dont feel like doing right now So enjoy this piece of crap i drew in 1993 in Autodesk Animator Pro.
Its from an animation cel from Spaceship Yamamoto or something, i bearly remember anything from 7 years ago!
hmm.. i think i've come a long way

Here's something I can contribute too. Since I've only done 3 photoshop pics throughout my digi art experience I can't really see much difference between new and old. Some of you have probably already seen it, but oh well.

Yes napalm, now were talking
This is what I like to see, someone who really dares to post something that is actually old. Two thumbs up !
Frost, you pictures are my second favorite
I just wish I've kept some of mine. I will see if I can dig up some

I have got tons of really old stuff
(pixeled from my Amiga days),
but they are stored in my old Amiga 4000 in our smoke-room at work...Damn!!
To much hassle to dig them out
But anyway this gives me an idea of putting up a gallery with my old drawings
from when i was 6 and stuff. I actually
still have all my drawings left stored in
Bannana boxes in my apartment!
No it's a stupid idea....i'm just babbling
I'm getting tired.....Please forget this
post...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Here's my first digital painting, done maybe a month or so ago. Used Painter 5.03 and lots of clicking . I only used the airbrush tool and nothing else, no layers used either. It was during class so the only reference I had was a photo a friend of mine took.
incase anyones wondering no I haven't done anything else besides manipulate pics I've drawn lately . It's really hard for me to stare at a computer and draw for hours at a time..

Uh-oh... This was one of the first pieces I made with my tablet... Probably in Dabbler.
Interesting, by the way, I could've sworn I'd had my tablet longer...
OH, check out the lensflare... Haha!

My first ever real digital picture (not counting little sprites and things like that) was the title picture (of a car) I did for a C64 game that I coded more than 10 years ago.
I'd love to have a copy of that image (and game) but I don't .
(If anyone has a .c64 for an old puzzle game called plainly, 'Drive', let me know!)
The next real digital image I did was later on when I moved to the Amiga;
http://impact.frag.com/files/SHHHH.lha
That is a Moviesetter animation (for Amiga) that I did about 8-9 years ago (and haven't seen in that long). The first thing I drew in that was the office background with the desk and that represented the very moment I decided to quit programming and concentrate on gfx.
(anyone have a moviesetter player for win98?)
I did a few simple logos and things after that but my first Amiga image that I thought was actually any good was this one;
32 colors, 320x240. It won a gfx comp at a demo party back in 1993 I think it was. The title 'Never Again' is a reference to the hell I went through trying to make her look attractive - I vowed to never again draw a human face .
And the following image was the first one I did in 24bit with a wacom tablet;
Fun,
Rowan.
