Question: If I still want to play old DOS games on my comp. How can I? It seems almost all DOS games only support a few soundcards like soundblaster and gravis. I have some funky onboard sound card that I don't even know what the heck it is! How would I get sound from these games? Gracias.

Open mouth and make sounds as necessary. Three times the fun and at least as half as expensive.
:P
Seriously though. Any old DOS game should still work. Maybe you've got some program playing sounds when you run the game? DOS is screwy like that.

To be able to hear DOS sounds using your card you should find and install DOS drivers for the card. Basicly drivers like that you have to find just a Creative Sound Blaster emulation.
For sure you do not need any drivers if you use native sound cards from Creative Labs. |

Yah, that was my first guess, that I had to find drivers that could emulate a creatives soundblaster environment, but I couldn't find any. Any idea?
Thankz

There is a Driver somewhere on the net for most Soundblaster cards that emulates the SB16 card. it is the "Legacy Drive" and you just have to find it, mine has an error so i cant play the games right now either ohwell. whoosh to new games! weee!!!!!!!!!

Legacy Drivers? Huh? Tried altavista...I didn't get any hits that were worth a dam. And the creative site? No that wouldn't work. The to use the drivers, you need THE CARD, something I don't have. Like I said I have some onboard crap that I don't even know what the hell it is. Anybody else got any ideas. Then im giving up and sticking to windows games.
