As artists we all know the ups and downs of life; financing ourselves in our journey with art.
What I would like to find out from everyone is where is it you shop for your art/multimedia programs? I'm looking for responses to find the best price to keep us financially healthy. Please only post a cheaper price then the last post seen.
At the moment I am in search of the full versions(not shareware, freeware or student ware: MUST BE FULL VERSIONS) of the following(Must be NEW, never opened, in box):
- Adobe Photoshop 5.5 that comes with Imageready.
- Adobe Aftereffects 4.1
- Adobe Illustrator 8.0.1
- Adobe Premiere 5.1
- Kinetix 3D Studio Max R3.
- Macromedia Dreamweaver 3
- Macromedia Flash 4
- Marcromedia Director 8
- Apple Final Cut Pro 1.2

go to www.journeyed.com They have the absolute cheapest prices...but theres a catch. You have to be a full time college student,highschool student,or a faculty member at a school. but almost all of us are at least highschool students and many are college students. These prices will blow your minds hehe
adobe photoshop 5.5 w/ eyecandy $300
adobe illustrator $150
painter6 $240
they have a huge selection of 2d and 3d software web development software, programming software oh and the best is their bundled offers...like 3dsmax, character studio, and surfacesuite pro for $1000
they even sell hardware too.

Like journeyed is http://www.creationengine.com/ . They have great prices too, but you must also be a fulltime student or faculty member to reap the benefits. All you really need is a student ID card that is current. If you know someone who fits this description then get it sent to them.

I never heard of those sites before... they for real??
I can get dreamwever3/fireworks3 studio and photoshop 5.5 for $450!!!!!!!
Too bad their wacom prices aren't as good....  |

Big catch to journeyed. The versions sold are not for commercial use whatsoever, I found this unfortunate information out when I called the sales rep for journeyed.
According to the rep. the software is for learning purposes only which is why the software is sold at such a low rate.
The time I found this out was over a year ago, and they may have changed their policy or agreements. Your best bet would be to call them and find out befor eyou go ahead and purchase from them.
