if you dig around in this forum, you'd probably learn more than from a book. And - what no book can teach you: practice, practice, practice ...
newcomers: please take your time to dig in this tutorial's archive, before you start posting questions like "What's the best tablet?" "What's the best machine?" "Do you like Painter?" and "How do I learn Photoshop?"
... sorry to be so harsh - I know every bigger forum has this problem (but also - they all reply with harshness too

well, answering u'r question about books...... if u wanna learn the technical side of photoshop, get Photoshop: Classroom in a Book. i'm currently using the tutorials from there in my graphics class. for tips and tricks, there this book called something like photoshop studio secrets, which is pretty neat. check out amazon.com or something to find the books |
