ok, we seem to be getting another surge of new members. (it's a monthly thing it seems. possibly hormonal.)
Anyway, I was wondering if there's anything happening on the FAQ front?

As I see it there's two main questions:
What tablet should I buy?
and
What graphics sites should I visit to get good at this caper?

The first one seems pretty easy to answer: How much have you got? How big do you want it? How "serious" are you going to be?
Purchase whichever Wacom covers your answers to those questions.
(I'm being really terse here. The proper wording will come later)

The second question could be tricky however.
Obviously it will list the popular hub sites (3dpalette, gameart, gfxzone etc etc) and a big list of any sites with lots of tutorials and instruction (particularly that site which collects tutorials). When it comes to personal sites it starts getting complicated; who gets in, who doesn't etc.
Obviously everyone will expect Mullins, Danny, Suma, Caudle, Garofalo and the famous bastards to be on it. Then it gets messy; most will expect Acryl, Saffron and DP to be there; personally I'd expect Affected, Funfoetus and Tinusch to be there also. (don't worry if I left you out, I'm just picking names out of the air!)

To be fair about this problem, I think we need to create the most comprehensive personal graphics site index that there has ever been. Just a URL and a one line description of the content (eg huge gallery, some tutes, updated frequently. or; proffesional site, large gallery and contract details. We'll worry about the wording later) Anyone who wants to be on it from around here should be. Anyone who knows a good site and thinks it should be on the list can put it on. Etc etc.

Do you actually think that Dhab has the time to sit down and write one? NO. How about you start one, and pass it on to him? Just a thought.

Uh if you check the post about the art archive it might answer your request for such a site. At least thats what Striker me and a few others are trying to do. If we have enought support we might be able to develop a very professional site with a large gallery and web hosting for any artist that wants it.
