The cover process goes like this;
. I find out what an upcoming feature article is and when that issue is due to go online.
. I think about who would be suitable for the topic and would likely be able to do it in time (professionals usually like lots of time whereas hobbiests can often do something overnight I've found).
. Email them. If they say yes then we're set, if not then who else might be suitable? If there's no time left I whip something up myself.
The idea of posting one of the topics on the forum sometime sounds like a bit of fun, I might try that  .
