Hi All,

Have a quick question.
What other name brand Tablets are their other then Wacom?

The 6x8 Intuos Wacome Tablet is like 300 dollars. The best I could find was 270 on Mysimon.com.

Any less expensive ones? Or should I just pay the heavy price and stick with Wacom?

Any advice would mean alot!
Thanks!
J

CalComp makes tablets too, cheaper than WACOM for the same size, similar specs, but I've never read any reviews, seen one, or know anyone that has one. Or look for a cheap used WACOM. Or get a summer job...

Hey, well I have a 'Cross ipen' and let me tell you it sucks. If it would have been me who bought my tablet, which i got for my bday, I would of invested in a wacom. I'll prolly go for a wacom soon enough. This one seems to not want to 'unclick' sometimes and it's rather annoying as you end up with lines all over. Thank god for undo,

one word: ebay! ...well auctionwatch.com too if you wanna search more than one.. but I got my 6x8 wacom brand new in box for under $150, and that was a while ago! as always make sure they are reputable sellers with plenty of good feedback. So skip any other name tablet and go find a cheap wacom auction

Ive never owned anything BUT a Calcomp.
They are, however, now out of business.
I visited the Wacom booth at PMA(tradeshow) and tried one of thier tablets. It was pretty nice. It ran a little "laggy" though compared to mine...
Perhaps it was just the difference in the speed of my Home PC and the Wacom demo PC....(a kinda slowish mac)

The Stylus was real nice though....and the eraser was awesome.
