Right, I got Painter, so I figured I'd test it out. I'm also working on a gouache version of this, so I didn't really detail it:

Ah, um.. If this makes you think I'm on drugs, maybe it's better it turned out this way... Originally the character was going to be covered with moss and fungi (Just another one of those pre-sleep visions), but as I started to draw him, it turned into cloth...
Thanks!

Heh, looks pretty cool, although its a bit crunchy for cloth, it looks a bit more like stone (ok, if it were grey.) toy might want to try some blurring and smoothing to give it more of a flow -- an interesting pic nontheless!

Wow, this is extremely weird. Somehow it reminds me of those naive Indian religious paintings (the modern cheesy ones, not the ancient ones which are often very beautiful). And that association makes me feel quite uneasy, it gives the image a menacing, occultist atmosphere... Interesting how you've managed to make such a bright picture scary in its own very peculiar way. (Usually people just fall to imitating Giger when they want to make a scary image and the result is plain silly.) Good job, I love having my emotions manipulated!
I disagree with napalm though, the hard look suits the picture in my eyes. But if I had to gripe about something, it would be that the color on the cloth is too local, it could have more variance and brighter highlights. But in this case it looks just appropriate for the style, so no gripes about that...

Hm... The odd thing is that people seem to find the images I think are tranquil scary... It happens a lot. But I don't mind. I have noticed that lately there's been a pseudo-religious tone to my work, in the style anyway, but I don't know where that's coiming from...
Thakns for the comments!

People find many of my drawings disturbing, and I find them beautiful. Personally I found your painting very nice.
This image is one of the favorite I've done. Most people think it's errie or sick. *shrug*
