HUSSA! Finally some new stuff!
I haven't been posting for a while, since I took my PC home from work - and then it took a while to get the replacement hooked up here at StationX.
And I've been busy as hell, but since noone is remotely interested in my babbling, I'll talk about the update.
I put up five new matte-paintings I did for a job we just completed. I did more than that, but those are the most interesting.
Talking about interesting - they're all showing runways, freakin boring, BUT in this case they might be interesting from a technique POV ...
'nuff - gotta go get drunk - have a nice weekend too! and keep on painting (instead of those nasty threads that have been going on here lately
Yours truly,
Loki

Hey Loki.
Excellent work. Would you care to share with us some matte painting tricks and rules? I'd really like to learn more about the general rules that go thru your head when doing such work regarding color, contrast, lighting, shadows, shapes, etc.
Thanks in advance, and again, very nice work.

Thanks guys.
Leo - yeah, Mechwarrior is fun. We've already finished the animatic, and still are going strong. I finished the colorboards two weeks ago - about 40 of them and spent the rest of the time doing designs on bits and pieces we need. I can't wait til we finish the first full renders ...
I was kind of expecting that people wouldn't be too thrilled about my latest mattes - because the subject was anything else than interesting: runways.
But paintingwise I've learned a lot, because that's detached from the subject.
Oh well - gotta work this weekend, better get back to it ![](http://www.sijun.com/dhabih/ubb/wink.gif) |
